Western continues to swing the clubs well as they take home their own sectional championship by 22 strokes. Western tops Kokomo and MIC foe Northwestern with a score of 335, but all three will advance to next week’s regional in Lafayette.
Courtnee Cossell led the way for the Panthers finishing second overall with a 77 and teammate Mary Harbaugh takes third with an 81. The rest of the team turned in solid performances. MIC champion Maggie Talbert cards an 88 and Carlee Cossell finishes with an 89. Ashley Young completed the 18 holes with a score of 92.
MIC rival Northwestern advances as a team with a score of 361 to next week’s regional behind Alyssa McClure’s 83. Jackie Adams was on her heels with an 84 while teammates Peyton Hite and Jillian Hungate finished with 96 and 98 respectively. Alexa Richey rounds out the team with a 100.
Maconaquah as a team finishes 12 shot out of third place in fourth which ended the Lady Braves season. Two individuals will move on to the regional as Jessica Off cards an 88 and Carly Linn heads to Lafayette after scoring a 90. The rest of the team were as follows Chelsie Carmichael 96, Jennifer Dolezal 99 and Alicia Ferre 113.
