Staff Report
There was a
time when it would have been gigantic news in Indiana sports circles, and even
now it is quite an accomplishment. The Western Panthers cruised past the
tradition rich Kokomo WildKats to win the Kokomo Sectional. The Panthers
recorded 136 points in gaining the victory.
Western led
a parade of strong performances by Mid-Indiana schools. Eastern finished fourth
with 57 points and Northwestern was sixth with 48. Other Mid-Indiana finishes
included Taylor in seventh, Cass ninth, Maconaquah 10th, and Peru 11th.
At Carmel, the
Hamilton Heights Huskies ended seventh in a power laden field by amassing 43
points. Individual results from all the sectionals are available on the state
pages of Hoosier Authority.
