Peru Rallies for Victory

The Peru boy’s basketball team earned a hard-fought victory over Logansport (0-1) Saturday night, to improve their record to 2-0.  Terry Smith lead the Tigers with 22 points, he hit 11 straight free throws to help maintain a fourth quarter lead.  The Tigers got off to a slow start, and trailed for the majority of the game.  They trailed 24-16 at intermission.  The Berries held a 40-29 lead with 7:33 remaining on the clock.  The Tigers than rallied from that point on and they held on for a 62-55 victory at Tig-Arena.  The Tigers return to action this Friday as they travel to Wabash (0-1).
